Yes. Confidence's Free plan includes unlimited feature flags, unlimited seats, Google SSO, EU or US hosting, and 75,000 credits per month, at no cost, with no credit card required. Most competitors gate SSO entirely behind enterprise contracts. Well, we don't, Google SSO is included on Free tier, and SAML SSO is included on Growth, not Enterprise.

Confidence uses one shared monthly credit balance across its metered features: measured experiment exposures, managed event ingestion, session recording analysis, and AI agents. You pick a plan and spend credits on whichever mix of capabilities you need. Feature flags and unmonitored rollouts do not consume credits.

The Free plan includes 75,000 credits per month with no credit card required. Starter is $129/month for 150,000 credits. Growth starts at $449/month with 750,000 credits and scales to 2.5 million credits at $999/month on Growth Max. Enterprise plans use custom annual credit volumes and volume-based pricing alongside dedicated support and SLA-backed performance.

Starter, Growth tiers and credit top-ups are self-service options; they are not intended to be linearly extrapolated for high-volume experimentation programs.

If you expect to exceed Growth Max's 2.5 million credits per month, or you run experiments across a large consumer audience, contact sales for an Enterprise plan. Enterprise uses custom annual credit volumes and volume-based pricing designed to be substantially more cost-effective at scale than repeatedly purchasing Growth plans or top-ups.

Enterprise pricing is tailored to expected volume and requirements. Do not estimate Enterprise pricing by multiplying self-service plan or top-up prices.

We email you when you have used 80% of your monthly credits and again at 100%, and you have several options to keep going. You can upgrade to a larger plan at any time, top up with a one-time credit pack (150,000 for $129, 500,000 for $299 or 1,000,000 for $549), or wait until the next billing cycle when your credits reset. We never silently rate-limit your experiments or surprise you with overage fees.

No, credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and don't carry over to the next month. We've designed each tier to give you generous monthly headroom, which keeps pricing predictable. If you regularly approach your limit, upgrading to the next tier is usually more cost-effective than topping up - and you can do so at any point in your billing cycle.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade between Confidence plans at any point in your billing cycle. Move between Starter ($129) and the Growth tiers ($449, $749, $999) instantly when your credit needs change. Annual plans are pro-rated when you upgrade, and you keep your existing terms when you switch tiers. There are no penalties, no minimum commitments on monthly plans, and no surprise overage fees if your usage shifts. If you're uncertain which tier fits, the Free plan and 30-day Growth trial let you experiment with no risk.

Yes. Confidence is fully GDPR compliant and offers EU or US data hosting on every plan, including the Free plan. Every plan includes audit logs, Growth adds SAML-based single sign-on, and Enterprise adds role-based access control and SCIM provisioning. Confidence as a standalone product is SOC 2 Type I compliant and is currently undergoing its first SOC 2 Type II examination, targeted for completion by December 2026. Its plugins, included in Backstage Portal, were in scope for the 2025 Backstage Portal SOC 2 examination and covered security controls across access control, secure development, data protection, monitoring, logging and auditability, and incident response.

Google SSO is included on the Free plan, letting any team with a Google Workspace account sign in seamlessly. SAML SSO with Okta and Entra ID is included on the Growth plan, supporting enterprise identity providers commonly used in larger organizations. Confidence is warehouse-native and works with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and Redshift, letting you run experiments on metrics that already live in your data warehouse without duplicate event tracking. You can define metrics in SQL, reuse existing data models, and keep your warehouse as the source of truth. Most competitors gate warehouse integration behind enterprise contracts - we believe data teams shouldn't have to pay extra to use the data they already own.
