# Documentation MCP Servers

> Reference for the two Confidence documentation MCP servers: the Documentation server and the Docs and SDK guides server, with their endpoints and tools.

Two MCP servers give an AI assistant access to the Confidence documentation. Neither requires authentication, and you can connect both.

* The **Documentation** server searches and reads the documentation pages.
* The **Docs and SDK guides** server also searches the documentation, and returns SDK integration guides, local resolve guides, and code snippets.

## Documentation MCP Server

Endpoint: `https://confidence.spotify.com/docs/mcp`. No authentication.

| Tool | Description |
| - | - |
| `search_confidence_documentation` | Searches the documentation for concepts, guides, API references, and code examples. Returns matching sections with titles and links. |
| `query_docs_filesystem_confidence_documentation` | Runs read-only commands, such as `cat`, `head`, `rg`, and `tree`, against the documentation pages. Use it to read a full page by path, for example `head -200 /docs/capabilities/segments/audience.mdx`, or to find exact matches. |

## Docs and SDK Guides MCP Server

Endpoint: `https://mcp.confidence.dev/mcp/docs`. No authentication. All tools only read data.

| `searchDocumentation` | Searches the Confidence documentation semantically and returns the 10 most relevant chunks. | `query` |
| `getFullSource` | Returns the full text of a documentation page from its source URL. | `source`, `startChar`, `maxChars` |
| `grepDocumentation` | Searches the documentation with a regular expression and returns the pages that match. | `pattern`, `maxResults`, `caseInsensitive` |
| `getLocalResolveIntegrationGuide` | Returns integration guides with code examples for local resolve (local evaluation). | `sdk` |
| `getCodeSnippetAndSdkIntegrationTips` | Returns integration guides with code examples and README content for adding Confidence feature flags with OpenFeature. | `sdk` |
| `getCloudflareDeployerGuide` | Returns the guide for deploying the Confidence resolver as a Cloudflare Worker for flag evaluation at the edge. | None |
